Our History and Storyline

CAC Worldwide Great Revival

The history of the Church is traceable directly to our fore-fathers, namely Oba/Pastor Isaac Babalola Akinyele, Pastor David Ogunleye Odubanjo, Joseph Sadare, Miss Sophia Odunlami and Evangelist (late Apostle) Joseph Ayodele Babalola who was called to the ministry by the Lord on 11th, October, 1928. Apostle Babalola’s call subsequently led to the great revival of 1930.

The first Service

The first service of this church was held on 03 September 2000 in Hackney. The church had a rough and humble start but all were determined to forge ahead nonetheless. However, after three years, the two main ministers decided to restructure the church into two separate ministries – Amazing Grace Christian Sanctuary and Amazing Grace Christian Sanctuary International.

New Amazing Grace Christian Sanctuary

The church was split in April 2003 into (a) Amazing Grace Christian Sanctuary. (b) Amazing Grace International.
And ever since, we as Amazing Grace Christian Sanctuary has been moving from strength to strength.

Our first international branch

Our first international branch came to life in 2010 in Lagos, Nigeria.

The birth of Sanctuary of Believers

In 2018, a branch was carved out in London for one of our ministers. Today, that branch is become a full ministry in its own and having its name as Sanctuary of Believers.

Launch of new branch at Ilesha, Nigeria

In 2020, another branch was launched at Ilesha, in Osun state, Nigeria. And it is growing by the hand of God.
